What AmbientBlend stores, how mix links work and your choice about analytics.

Settings kept in your browser

AmbientBlend uses local browser storage for your last sound choices and levels, Volume and named mixes. A named mix includes its name, sound settings, an identifier and creation/update dates.

This application does not upload those saved records to an account or synchronization service. You can delete named mixes in My mixes. Your browser’s site-data controls can clear all AmbientBlend settings and saves.

Browser storage can be unavailable or cleared, including in private browsing. It is not a permanent backup. Playback position, an active timer and the instruction to play are not saved between page sessions.

Mix links

A shared link contains selected sound identifiers, their levels and the noise type. It does not include a saved mix’s name, your Volume, theme or timer. The mix data is part of the link after the # character.

Sharing is optional. Anyone who receives the full link can read and use its sound settings. Your browser history, clipboard and any application you send it through may retain the link.

Network requests and analytics

Cloudflare Pages hosts ambientblend.com and delivers its pages, scripts, styles and audio. Cloudflare processes connection information to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. This site has no advertising, account form, microphone access or user-upload feature.

Google Analytics 4 is optional. Before you choose Allow in Privacy settings, the site does not load Google’s analytics library or send analytics requests. Choosing Decline keeps analytics off. Your choice is kept separately in this browser for up to 180 days; if browser storage is unavailable, it applies only to your current visit.

After Allow, Google receives page visits, basic browser and device information and analytics identifiers stored in first-party cookies. We send the page’s public address without its query string or mix fragment, its public title and only the origin of a referring website. The site does not send saved mix names, sound choices or levels, timer settings, form contents or an account identifier to Analytics.

Google may also generate its usual session and engagement measurements. Enhanced measurement, Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled. Analytics cookies last up to 180 days. Google’s processing is described in Google’s privacy policy.

You can change your choice using Privacy settings at the bottom of any main site page. Declining after Allow disables analytics, clears its cookies and reloads the page; the settings panel warns you that this stops any playing sounds. Your saved mixes remain on your device. Revoking in another tab stops analytics in this tab too and offers a reload to finish removing the loaded library.

Analytics is disabled on local previews, alternate hosting addresses and internal test pages. Operator contact details and the final publication text are still under review.

External sources and questions

Audio credit links open independent source websites, which have their own policies. An operator name and public contact address are still required before this page can be published.
