AmbientBlend guide
How it works
Choose sounds, find a balance and return to your mix when you need it.
Start with one sound
Rain is selected on your first visit. Press Play when you are ready. Turning on a sound icon also starts playback, even when every sound was off. Click an active icon to remove that sound, and use the sliders to adjust each layer. Presets offer a starting point without starting a paused mix.
Noise has one active type: Brown, Pink or White. Changing its type keeps the other sounds in your mix.
All ten sounds are available directly in the mixer, including Thunder and Underwater. You can combine up to eight sounds at once.
Pause, mute and turn off
Pause stops the whole mix. Within the same page, Play continues the loops from their paused positions. Reloading or opening another page ends that listening session.
A layer at 0% stays selected but muted. Click its icon to turn it off. When every layer is off or at 0%, playback stops. Turn on a sound icon to start again, or raise a selected layer’s level and press Play.
The main Volume slider changes the whole mix. At 0%, playback and any active timer continue. Pause is also available inside a dialog while the mix is playing or loading.
Save your settings
Your last sound settings and Volume are kept in this browser when storage is available. Returning to the mixer restores them quietly. Playback and the timer do not restart automatically. AmbientBlend always uses its dark appearance.
Use Save to give a mix a name. My mixes lets you open, rename or delete it; Undo restores a deletion during the current page session. Named mixes contain sound choices and levels, while Volume stays with your device.
These are local saves, not a cloud backup. Clearing site data, changing browsers or using a private session can make them unavailable. If a save fails, the mixer explains it and keeps your current mix available.
Share a mix
Share creates a link with your sound choices and levels. It does not contain your mix name, Volume or timer. Anyone with the link can open it, and it opens without playing.
If a mix link changes while the mixer is already open, use Apply shared mix to accept it. Your current mix stays in place until then. If Copy is unavailable, select the link and copy it manually.
Set a sleep timer
Choose 15, 30 or 60 minutes, or a whole number from 1 to 720. If you are paused, the timer waits for audio to start. Once running, pausing does not extend its deadline. The mix fades out during the final five seconds.
Timer off cancels it, and reloading clears it. Returning with Back never restarts audio; an expired timer will not continue. Changing your device clock can change when an active timer ends.
Browsers and listening
A browser or phone may interrupt audio when locked, backgrounded or switching outputs. Resume may require another tap. Continuous background playback and exact stopping during device sleep are still being tested on real phones.
This local preview uses recordings that still need listening review. Start with a low device volume and adjust it to your surroundings. AmbientBlend does not measure the volume reaching your ears.
